Audio Engineering

Audio Engineering is refer to an act that corcerned with the recording, manipulation, mixing and reproduction of sound. An audio engineer creatively uses technologies to produce sound for music, radio, film, television, electronic products (musical instruments, mobile phone, tablet computers, etc) and computer games. Audio engineers may also be called sound engineering technicians, sound editors, recording engineers or sound engineers.


Production of a recording consists of four basic steps; recording, editing, mixing and mastering. Each is treated by a sound/audio engineer who specializes only in such part of production. Practically, audio production transforms into different specializations;

  • Studio engineer
  • Recording engineer
  • Assistant engineer
  • Mixing engineer
  • Game audio designer
  • Live sound engineer
  • Audio post engineer
